Brian Zukowski

Brian was drawn to the physical therapy profession through a childhood incident. Having grown up heavily involved in athletics, he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament tear while playing high school football. He had surgery and subsequent rehabilitation.

He is certified in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Trigger Point Try Needling, and is Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT-Spine) through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM-US).

Originally from Canton, IL, Brian relocated to southern Arizona at an early age and went on to attend the University of Arizona where he earned his Bachelor of Health Sciences with a major in physiology and psychology, followed by his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. He is motivated by the success of his patients as they progress in their individualized therapeutic plan.

When he is not working, Brian enjoys hiking, cycling, basketball, football and cheering on the Arizona Wildcats. He enjoys spending item with his wife Joy, son Caleb and daughter Addison.

Nick Kothe

Nick was awarded the “Research Scholar Award” for his research work as a student at NAU, which included data collection for injury prevention in Division-I female athletes, as well as developing an online clinical tool for functional performance measures.

The most rewarding part of Nick’s job is being there, side-by-side with patients as they achieve their goals. He considers himself an expert at being a guide for patients, not just treating them.

Nick is deeply rooted in the soccer community, having played throughout his childhood and then on the o of A club team. Though his competitive playing days have come and gone, he still continues to play recreationally with friends. Nick also enjoys traveling abroad and likes to take every opportunity he has to visit new places. His travels have taken him to Central America, all throughout Europe and into Southeast Asia. He likes to take every opportunity possible to explore new places.

Carolyn Adler

Carolyn knew at an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare but was unsure which avenue to take. It was her background in dance combined with her interest in the different sequences of movements of the human body that sparked her interest in physical therapy.

Carolyn enjoys spending time with her patients and getting to know their personal stories. Her positive attitude and approach allows her patients to feel comfortable during their time at the clinic.

Throughout her career, Carolyn became increasingly passionate about helping patients improve the quality of their movement, particularly with balance, proprioception and gait training. She is trained in Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR), LSVT Big, and she is also certified in the use of Trigger Point Dry Needling.

Aside from work, Carolyn loves to sing and make music. Since 2008, she has been a member of the Arizona Repertory Singers and enjoys playing piano and singing with friends. She also enjoys exploring parks and trails here in Tucson, and she loves spending time with her husband Jason and their two children, Nathan and Andrea.

Alicia Koepsel Allie

Alicia is a Certified Hand Therapist with six years of experience in the treatment of complex, traumatic upper extremity injuries, tendon lacerations, repetitive sprains/strains, and fractures. As a former Division 1 collegiate athlete (gymnast) she has a unique ability to connect with her patients motivating them to their highest level of functioning.

Alicia attended Western Michigan University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University. She completed extensive training to because an upper extremity specialist and is a Board Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).

When not in the clinic, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons. Her interests include running, exercising, and watching college sports (especially cheering on Arizona and Western Michigan).

Cyndi’s interest in physical therapy developed when she received physical therapy following a softball injury. Her past experience allows her to be compassionate and dedicated to the details of excellent patient care.

Cyndi is native to Tucson and played college softball for the University of Arizona. Outside of the clinic, she loves to spend time with her husband, daughter and close friends. She enjoys camping, sports, and on occasion giving softball lessons.

Born and raised in Tucson, Joe is a graduate of the PTA program at Pima Medical Institute. His interest in physical therapy came at a young age when he was referred to physical therapy after injuring his back in high school. His experience with physical therapy left such a positive mark on him, that he knew it was the direction he wanted his life to head as an adult. Joe realized quickly that his passion was helping people feel better physically and helping them return to an active, healthy lifestyle.

Outside of his desire to help others, Joe enjoys running with his wife and two dogs and rooting for his two favorite teams, the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Redskins.
