Rick is a Physical Therapist with over 30 years of experience in sports-related injury and a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. He attended the University of South Australia, studying Maitland manual therapy techniques and specializes in neck/shoulder injuries. Rick came from a swimming background and was a national-level swimmer in Surf Life. He became the New Zealand swim team Physical Therapist for several years before moving to the United States. He also currently coaches swimming from the novice to the Olympic level.

Andy was born and raised in Phoenix. His lifelong love of physical fitness grew while rowing for Brophy College Prep’s crew team (located on Tempe Town Lake – the only body of water in the valley!). He was thrilled to be then admitted to Saint Louis University PT program. Andy is excited to bring his love of competitive sports to the ProActive team, helping patients recover from injuries and reach their potential.

Sam is a Tucson native. She is a 2021 graduate with an Associate degree from Pima Medical Institute and a Bachelor of Health Science from Southern New Hampshire University. Sam chose physical therapy because she enjoys helping her patients to feel better and achieve more functionality and mobility. There is a special place in her heart for treating women’s health patients and the pediatric population.

Scott’s passion is demonstrated by his commitment to his patients. He believes there needs to be a solid relationship between education, communication and reaching understandings of the patient’s goals and expectation of care. He is motivated by celebrating the successes of his patients as they progress in their individualized therapeutic plans into their everyday life.
Scott earned his Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy with a minor in Psychological Sciences in 2005. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in 2008. He later finished his residency program in 2011 through EIM Regis University with a specialization in spinal manipulation and orthopedic pain management. He is certified in dry needling and spine manipulative therapy through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and is currently working towards the degree of Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Being a CrossFit athlete himself, Scott enjoys working with athletes on preventative programs to keep up with their grueling workouts.

Andre began his academic journey at Pima Community College after graduating from Sahuarita High School in 2011. Throughout high school, he played basketball and baseball and was able to continue playing baseball at Pima Community College from 2011-2013. He graduated from the A.T. Still University Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2020. He began his journey within PT as a physical therapy aide in Tucson after he graduated from Grand Canyon University with his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy in 2016.
He feels the best way to treat patients is to continually listen to them throughout their time with you. “We have a unique position to be able to spend so much time with our patients. We need to use this time to actively attend to their needs in any way that best fits the patient.” Andre entered PT because his grandmother had a brain tumor, and during her rehabilitation, she received home health services from a PT. He could see her progress from when she came home to her discharge, and he knew then that PT was what he wanted to do.

Misty originally wanted to be a nurse but fell in love with physical therapy after shadowing in a clinic. She started her career as a tech at Foothills and is now a physical therapist assistant. She loves being there for her patients from start to finish and seeing their progress.

Theresa was born in Rochester, Minnesota, and has a Ph.D. in microbiology. She spent nearly 20 years researching various infectious diseases. Theresa became a certified yoga instructor in 2010. She is a big advocate for the yoga community and the healing benefits of yoga for all ages. In 2017, Theresa traded in her lab coat to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She has a certification in breath management for chronic pain and anxiety and has a holistic approach to treating her patients. She incorporates mindfulness and breathwork in her treatment plans. Theresa enjoys educating others about their bodies in an approachable and individualized manner. She strives for all her patients to return to the previous level of function and ideally exceed it.

Jason has worked with a diverse population, including high school and college athletic programs, in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation, and worker’s compensation rehabilitation. Jason’s goal is to help patients meet their recovery and physical goals through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education.

Chelsea is a Portland, Oregon, native who migrated to the desert as a child. A graduate of Pima Medical Institute here in Tucson, Chelsea, has been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 2014. She is passionate about tailoring treatment programs to individual patients’ needs to meet goals and maximize potential. Chelsea has experience working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and physical therapy needs in-patient and out-patient facilities.

Nicole is a Pittston, Pennsylvania native who relocated to Tucson, AZ, for a lifestyle change with her husband of 22 years and three children. She has been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 1998 and has vast experience with in-patient, out-patient, and rehab patients. Nicole is passionate about making every patient feel welcome and listened to. She enjoys helping others reach their functional goals and has a gift for making therapy fun.

Sarah moved to Arizona from Maryland for the warm weather and access to outdoor activities. Sarah has experience working with a wide variety of patients and enjoys helping them get back to what they love to do. She has a particular passion for helping athletes return to their sport since she was helped by physical therapy during her college soccer years.

Kori started as a physical therapy technician and loved seeing patients’ weekly changes. She enjoyed impacting their lives and being a part of their healing journey. Kori eventually decided to pursue her doctorate in physical therapy, solidifying her love for physical therapy. Now a physical therapist, she uses a mixture of hands-on care with exercise-based treatment plans.
