Temps have finally dipped into double digits, which means hiking season is here in Tucson. Today we’re sharing the top Tucson hikes to enjoy this fall. So lace up those hiking shoes and get out on the trail!

Sabino Canyon

Perfect for walkers and runners, Sabino Canyon has paved and dirt paths. This trail is especially beautiful during the fall, as you can take in the autumn colors and potentially see running water. If you’re also going with a family member who isn’t an avid hiker, there’s a tram you can hop on/off throughout the trail.

Seven Falls

Within just 30 minutes from downtown Tucson, you can enjoy this moderate hike and feel like you’ve escaped the city. This hike is known as one of the most popular hikes in Tucson, since you’re often able to see water.

The Window

If you’re up for a challenge, this Tucson hike is for you. With steep switchbacks, this trail should only be done if you’ve been hiking or exercising regularly. Once you reach “The Window” you’ll see why this trail is on so many people’s bucket lists.

Wasson Peak

With a lower elevation, this trail is usually not ideal during the warm summer months, but now that it has cooled down, it’s the perfect time to give this hike a try. You’ll be among many saguaros during this hike, so make sure to bring your camera to capture the Sonoran Desert.

If you’re just easing back into hiking or exercise after an injury, remember to rest when necessary and listen to your body. Injuries, or even re-injuries, tend to occur when people are fatigued. And if aches and pains are keeping you from enjoying Tucson hiking this fall, contact us to schedule a FREE injury assessment. We can work with you to get you back on the hiking trails pain free. After all, fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Tucson, and we don’t want you to miss out.
