ProActive's Kenzie Fowler continues rise to the occasion!
On June 16th Kenzie Fowler became the first high school athlete ever to win back to back Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year award. She is also only the sixth athlete in the program's 24 year history to win the Gatorade National Player of the Year honors or than once, joining LeBron James, Greg Odin, Candace Parker, Marian Jones, and Cynthia Barboza! Kenzie will be attending the Espy Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles with her family to receive this prestigious award. She is also a front-runner for the Gatorade National High School Player of the Year Award.

Prep Standouts: Desiree Ready to Move |
|

|
Desiree Scott is one of southern Arizona's most gifted prep athletes. She is a standout at Catalina Foothills High School and in her club volleyball team. The 6' 1" volleyball player is recovering from a knee surgery that will allow her compete at a very high level without worring about the stability in her knee. She has been working very hard in physical therapy and is looking foward to returning to competing again. She aspires to compete at the colleagiate level.  Desiree Ready for Another Workout at ProActive "Getting the motion back has been the most challenging" she says of the experience. Restoring motion after surgery is one of the most important predictors of success after surgery and she has been working very hard to get it right. Once the motion is established, then she will begin more rigorous strengthen for her leg to match the conditioning ProActive is already doing with the rest of her body. |

Emily is a 16 year-old soccer standout for the Rush Soccer team and for Catalina Foothills High School soccer team. She is overcomming a rare knee injury that required extensive surgery and is doing fabulous. Being out of soccer over the past few months has been challenging for Emily but she is seeing the progress she is making at ProActive Physical Therapy and can begin to see the results of her hard work.  Emily in Action Emily found out that the most dfficult part after the surgery was restoring full motion in her knee. She recalls it was one of the most difficult things she has ever done. Some of the strategies she used during the physical therapy sessions was to imagine herself competing on the soccer field. This allowed her the ability to "push" herself to get some of the motion she needed. |
