Cory Newman

PT, DPT, OCS

Education: Virginia Tech, Duke University

Cory makes a point of creating treatment routines that are individualized and treats the person, not the diagnosis. He looks at the patient as a whole and works to ensure they finish their session a better person in terms of movement and function, not just alleviating pain in one area.

His inspiration to become a physical therapist began his sophomore year of college when his grandfather suffered from a stroke. During this time, Cory observed the treatment the physical therapists were giving his grandfather and didn’t think they were treating him with enough attention or care. Although Cory was upset by the treatment his grandfather received, it awakened how important physical therapy was to him. It was during this trying time that he realized that physical therapy was his passion.

Cory has an outgoing and energetic personality and spends his time training for triathlons. He loves the challenge of mastering different disciplines. While he is not training and racing in triathlons with his wife, Cory enjoys cooking, hiking, canoeing and camping.

Conor Isaacs

PTA

Education: Pima Medical Institute

Conor was born and raised in Tucson, a true desert rat at heart. He loves to stay active by rock climbing, cycling, running, hiking, playing baseball – you name it. Conor was introduced to the PT world in 2010 when he volunteered at a Parkinson’s wellness recovery center (PWR!Gym) and immediately fell in love with it. He spent a year with the PWR!Gym until other obligations tore him away.

While working as a tech at another physical therapy company, a patient claimed Conor had ‘MIRACLE HANDS’ after simply applying an ice cube treatment to her shoulder, effectively alleviating her pain. Conor knew at that time that he wanted to provide that level of happiness/relief to as many people as possible. It was then that he decided to go to school to become a PTA.
